So, what is it like to live with a six-year-old who has Down syndrome?

Well, okay, it's like this.

He's playing in the ocean without fear, laughing when the occasional wave knocks him down, but standing solidly most of the time, even jumping them and staying on his feet.

And then he's running out of the ocean like the sea gulls, only unlike them his swimming trunks are falling off.

And like Adam before the Fall, he is not ashamed.

But because I am posting this to the world after the Fall, there will not be a picture to go along with this post.

We'll leave that picture alone in the memories of the people on a certain beach on Tybee Island.
